This kava Chemotype is known as Birkar kava. Birkar kava is grown on the island of Espiritu Santo in Vanuatu. Most of the Birkar kava that has been grown never gets further than the kava bars in Vanuatu as a single cultivar based beverage. Birkar kava is known for its mild nutty taste, creaminess and balanced, euphoric effects.

Yield- Yield is subjective based on end users preference, however, we recommend using 100-125g of Epik Birkar Kava root powder per gallon of water in your mix. You should easily be able to get 2 gallons (8 liters) or 64 four ounce servings of kava beverage from 250g of Epik Kava root powder. If you are a skilled kava maker you can get as much as 2.5 gallons (10 liters) or 80 four ounce servings of kava from 500g of Epik Kava root powder.
