Traditional Kava Making

Each kava drinking culture has its own kava recipe. Kava making techniques are often classified as Melanesian in nature or Polynesian. One thing is for certain for each different kava drinking culture, the kava is drunk in the end under social bonds.
We will attempt to offer some insight into kava recipe variations and where we got our recipe to make it at home. We use Vanuatu style to make our kava in our kava bar and our recipe is in fact based on this same foundation. We will also be adding information about making kava in other countries as time goes by. Check back for more kava content frequently.
