Nakamalathome.com was formed in 2002 as an outlet to sell off our excess kava supply from our kava bar in Boca Raton, Florida to keep our kava supply as fresh as possible. Over the years we have seen an increased demand for our products and we have subsequently increased our stock for online sales and run it as a seperate business with its own supply so we are less likely to run out of stock of kava. We do run out of one type of kava or another from time to time but it is becoming less frequent. We would rather wait for the fresh kava than buy whatever is available.
We currently buy kava from Vanuatu, Hawaii, Papua New Guinea, and Tonga. We buy kava from these islands because we are able to source kava directly from the farmers and get it to you at a cheaper price. There is good kava on other islands and if we find sources from those islands that have high quality kava for a reasonable price we will offer them in the future.
Here are the people that get your kava to you:
CEO & Co-Founder - Jeffrey packs most of the orders that are shipped out on a daily basis and also answers most of the inquiries sent to this website 7 days a week. Jeffrey has traveled extensively throughout Vanuatu, Fiji, and New Caledonia and knows good kava when he sees it. Jeffrey has a Masters Degree in Business from Florida Atlantic University as well as a Bachelor of Science in Ocean Engineering from the same.
This is Jeffery the Fijian. He grew up in the Fiji Islands and has been drinking kava for over 30 years. Jeffery is one of the people who packs your orders and gets them to the post office on time, usually not island time. When he is not doing that he can be found working with Ozzy making coconut shells and packaging kava. Jeffery has traveled to Vanuatu and is an expert on kava. Bula Vinaka Jeffery!
We don't know what to say about this guy other than we think he used to work for Pablo Escobar and the Medellin cartel down in Colombia. Ever since Ozzy took over the job of packaging for Nakamal At Home we have noticed that our bags of kava are taking on a brick shape. Ozzy attended the Fort Lauderdale Art Institute and he is an excellent graphic artist. Ozzy is a member of the south Florida paranormal society and he believes in ghosts which he tends to see after drinking kava. Hmmmmm..... And ladies, he is single.
Kenn has worked for Nakamal At Home since it's inception. Kenn designed and built most of the companies websites. Kenn has traveled through Vanuatu and is an expert on kava. He has made over 7000 gallons of kava juice by hand at our kava bar where he is Chief Kava maker as well as a bartender. He has handled literally tons of kava in the process. Kenn holds a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Florida Atlantic University.
The Arteest, R. Caine Jeffcoat. Caine is the cartoonist who designed and drew all of the artwork on this website. Caine is a very creative individual that is obviously extraordinarily talented. Caine is a professional cartoonist for a living and owns the company Eniac Ink, LLC. If you need any artwork done we will be happy to put you in touch with Caine.
OUR PLEDGE TO OUR CUSTOMERS
1). We Do Not Sell Crap Kava!
We drink this same kava 365 days a year at our kava bar. We would not sell something to you we would not drink ourselves. We have no interest in grocery store kava that is immature and stale. We buy only the freshest and most potent kava from areas where no chemicals are in use and, well, for the most part, people have no clothes.
2). We Do Not Sell What We Don't Have.
If you order and pay for something we have it in stock and it will ship ASAP.
3). We Do Not "Make Money" On Shipping.
We do the very best we can to make sure the postage you pay for is exactly what it costs to ship your item. We do charge a $1 fee for packaging and tape but that is it. Sometimes the shipping will differ a little because of the shipping module the post office gives us for our shopping cart but every effort is made to make sure you don't pay extra for shipping. The post office now offers flat rate shipping boxes via priority mail and as soon as we can figure out how to make our shopping cart recognize this option we will enable it. Until then we will use flat rate boxes whenever we can. Who would you rather have the extra funds, us or the post office?
4). We Ship Out Orders As Fast As We Can.
We ship orders Monday through Friday with the exceptions of governmental holidays when the United States Post Office is Closed. All orders received after 12 noon will be shipped the following business day.
5). We Answer All Online Inquiries.
We do not offer phone support at this time but we do take inquiries seriously. All serious inquiries will be answered within 1 business day and sometimes within minutes. Send your inquiries to
